NAACP Call to Action: Peaceful Gathering of Believers – Journey for Justice

Nov29GatheringEPNAACPDear Members and Supporters:

This is a call to action for Saturday, November 29, 2014 at noon for a Peaceful Gathering of the Believers in solidarity and support of the 7 day – 120 mile march entitled, “Journey for Justice: First Stop Ferguson, MO to Jefferson City, MO.” The El Paso NAACP Branch is ready to mobilize accordingly. We will gather at Mary Webb Park, 3401 East Missouri, El Paso, TX at 12:00pm (noon) on tomorrow, Saturday, November 29, 2014. This time will correspond with the National Commissioning Service and beginning of the Journey March in Ferguson.

GET THE WORD OUT – We will expect support and representation from clergy/churches, fraternities and sororities, masonic brotherhoods, councils, civic clubs and organizations and all who support justice and equality. We must stand up and push for the passage of federal legislation on racial profiling. We must show all that the NAACP and our allies will not stand down until systemic change, accountability and justice in cases of police misconduct are served for countless men and women.

If you have any questions, please contact the branch at 915-751-6490.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this very urgent matter.

Mr. Harold Howell, Branch President
Mrs. Twymeni Purchase, Branch Secretary
