The El Paso Branch of the NAACP cordially invites you to attend its Annual Freedom Fund and Awards Banquet on Saturday, August 17, 2013. This event will be held at the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center located at 11199 Sgt. E. Churchill Street, Biggs Field, TX 79918 (Fort Bliss). The Social Gathering will commence at 6:00 p.m. and the banquet begins at 7:00 p.m. The branch will recognize prominent El Pasoans for their outstanding contributions to the community and award scholarships to deserving young students.
The vision of the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights and there is no racial hatred or racial discrimination. Founded February 2, 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s oldest, largest and most widely recognized grassroots-based Civil Rights organization. The El Paso Branch is proud to be the oldest branch in the state of Texas.
