The El Paso Branch NAACP family mourns the passing of Marian Davis, Secretary of the El Paso NAACP. Lifetime member of the NAACP.
REFLECTIONS OF LIFE MARIAN LOUISE TAYLOR DAVIS was born to the late Marvin A. Taylor and Bessie M. Taylor in El Paso, Texas on May 5, 1966. She attended public schools in the Ysleta Independent School district, graduating from Bel Air High School. Marian continued her education at Park University where she received her Associates of Science in Management and her Bachelor of Science in Management, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She was a lifetime member of the NAACP and was recently elected secretary of the El Paso Chapter NAACP. She was also an active member at STARS, a rape crisis center. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gregory D. Davis (her Rabbit); and daughter, Jasmine Louise (her Pookie); Uncle, Thurman Taylor of Los Angeles, CA; Brother-in-law, Darrell Davis and; cousins, Jill Taylor, Brian and wife Stephanie Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, many friends, three dogs, and a cat. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the El Paso Chapter NAACP or Kappa Community Service Foundation. There is also a Marian Davis Memorial Fund at First Light Federal Credit Union. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm with Monday, March 2, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Committal Service will follow at 2:00pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Obituary

Mrs. Hazel Howell, the mother of Past President Harold Howell, NAACP El Paso Branch, passed away in Sylvania, GA. Homegoing services will be held Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 2:00pm EST at the PEDS Ministry SuperNatural Church, 1136 Harmony Rd., Sylvania with the Gaines Funeral Home, 301 E Frontage Rd., Sylvania, GA 30467 entrusted.

The El Paso Branch NAACP family mourns the passing of our president, Mrs. Twymeni Purchase, wife of 2nd Vice President, Mr. Steven Purchase. Twymeni passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. She was 49.
Mrs. Purchase began serving as president of the NAACP El Paso Branch, in January 2015. She received numerous awards for her volunteerism in the community, state and nationally. She received the Texas State Conference of the NAACP 2010 Torchbearer Community Service Award and the Black El Paso Democrats Outstanding Community Service Award.
We ask that you continue to pray for comfort for her family during this difficult time.
Twymeni will be greatly missed.
