1Twymeni PurchaseSince her arrival to El Paso, TX from the suburbs of Chicago, IL, Twymeni has proven herself to be a “change agent.”Mrs. Twymeni Purchase is the Branch Secretary, Legal Redress, and Labor and Industry Chair of the El Paso Branch of the NAACP. She was elected President of the branch and will begin her01 term January 1, 2015.

Twymeni was awarded the Texas State Conference of NAACP 2010 Torchbearer Community Service Award. She also serves as the Vice Chair of Programs for the Black El Paso Democrats and is an awardee of the 2011 Black El Paso Democrats Outstanding Community Service Award for her accomplishments and support of the Black El Paso Democrats, and the El Paso Community. Twymeni was a 2010 Delegate to the Texas Democratic State Convention. She serves on the United Way Allocation Panel for El Paso with concentration on education-before and after school programs.

Twymeni has received two very prestigious awards in Community Involvement and Diversity Awareness from the ADP National Board of African American Associate Resource Groups. Mrs. Purchase was the ADP 2008 Food Drive Coordinator (6,500 pounds collected for The West Texas Food Bank).

Currently she serves as Choir Director and Collaborative Arts Coordinator, High School Youth Sunday School Teacher, and Financial Secretary for the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Twymeni served 12 years as the National Music Auxiliary Secretary for the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc and has now been appointed to the Convention Registration Team. She is a Charter Member of the Music Auxiliary.

Since her arrival to El Paso, from volunteering time to presenting business reality programs to senior high school students, the contributions of Mrs. Purchase to the El Paso Community are beyond measure. It is no wonder why her employer awarded her with the 2012 One ADP Leadership Award and the 2012 Associate Choice Award.

In 2013, Twymeni was nominated by her peers and received the ADP Management Leadership Volunteer Spirit Award. Now in 2014 Twymeni has just received the 2014 ADP Nearshore Spirit Award and the ADP 2014 African American CULTIVATE Community Involvement Award. Twymeni is married to the very handsome and distinguished Mr. Steven Purchase. Both are 2012 STARS for the El Paso Chapter of the LINKS Inc.

Twymeni serves as a panelist for The Black Roundtable, a community discussion forum designed to bring awareness and solutions to issues involving Black men, women and children.

Steven and Twymeni celebrated 28 years of blessed, matrimonial happiness before her death in 2016.
